HERT COURSES PROFILE

The aim and objectives of the HERT Training are to equip the HLO and HDA, who will act as an Emergency Team Leader or Emergency Team Member, when required, with the knowledge, understanding and skills to perform the role of the emergency team member in any helideck or helicopter emergency during take-off or landing.

Who should attend this course?

Any person appointed or interested in being appointed to the role of eithe HLO or HDA.

  • Enhanced reputation and minimised exposure to risk for the operating company.

What does the course cover?

This course, which is OPITO equivalent, will provide the prospective HLO and HDA with a comprehensive and in-depth insight into emergency response pre-planning and preparedness; required actions for different emergency scenarios and the importance of working as a team.
