Vertiport Safety Training (VST) Course

Course Overview:

The Vertiport Safety Training course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of safety procedures and protocols for the operation of vertiports, specifically focusing on the vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft (UA). This course is based on the International Standard ISO 5015-2:2022 Unmanned aircraft systems — Part 2: Operation of vertiports for vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft (UA), which serves as a guide for operating vertiports.

Participants will learn about key safety considerations, emergency procedures, and best practices to ensure the safe and efficient operation of VTOL UAs in vertiports.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the principles and guidelines outlined in ISO 5015-2:2022 for operating vertiports.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and risks associated with VTOL UAs and vertiport operations.
  • Implement safety procedures and protocols to mitigate risks and ensure safe operations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency response and contingency plans for vertiport incidents.
  • Apply best practices for efficient and secure VTOL UA operations in vertiports.
